Job summary

Grant Regional Health Center, Inc. in Lancaster, WI is seeking a part-time Phlebotomist/Lab Assistant to perform phlebotomy, specimen processing, and limited laboratory tests (CLIA waived). The role includes patient preparation, quality control, and clerical tasks within the Laboratory department.

Responsibilities include specimen transport, inventory, and occasional courier support for outreach clinics or other hospitals. On-the-job training is available; valid Driver’s License required.

Qualifications

• On the job training with MA or CNA certification preferred.
• MT/MLT students are encouraged to apply.
• Must have a valid Driver’s License.
• Excellent verbal communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform phlebotomy and specimen collection (capillary, arterial puncture, aseptic cultures).
• Perform POCT testing in the clinic and assist draws in specialty areas as needed.
• Prioritize patient care and communicate results to clinicians.
• Transport specimens to the lab and stock rooms, check outdates.
• Serve as backup to courier for outreach clinics and hospitals.
• Assist with other duties as assigned in the lab and hospital.
