Qualifications

• Facility licenses: BLS certification required
• Proficiency with Epic or LIS software is required

Responsibilities

• Obtains blood specimens by performing venipunctures and finger sticks.
• Verifies specimen identification and appropriateness of sample type for testing.
• Prepares paperwork and references lab orders for testing.
• Interacts with patients to obtain information and explain procedures.
• Maintains lab equipment and monitors quality control as needed.
• Coordinates with Lead Phlebotomist for QC and testing schedules.
• Performs proficiency testing and participates in QA activities.
