Job summary

UPMC Health System is seeking a Pharmacy Technician, Trainee to provide pharmaceutical care by assisting with organization, stocking, preparation, and distribution of medications under supervision. This full-time position runs 40 hours per week on the evening shift (2:30 PM to 11:00 PM) with every other weekend and a minimum of two holidays per year.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Registration as Pharmacy Trainee with State Board of Pharmacy must be completed before starting employment.
• Driver's License and completion of Act 34 background check.

Responsibilities

• Fill medication orders with proper labeling, counting, and stocking.
• Distribute medications via cassettes, cart deliveries, and controlled substances per policy.
• Maintain clean, organized work area and accurate documentation and records.
