Job summary

Parkridge Medical Center in Chattanooga is hiring a Pharmacy Technician II for evening shifts (12:30pm–9pm). You will support pharmacists in daily department workflow, handle IV admixtures, sterile compounding, and inventory management, while ensuring patient safety and regulatory compliance.

Qualified candidates will have a TN State Pharmacy Tech license, PTCB certification, hospital experience, and ASHP CSPT education or equivalent.

Qualifications

• Assist pharmacists in daily department workflow per policies.
• Procure, prepare, deliver, return and restock medications.
• Provide exceptional customer service to internal and external customers.
• Follow policies and government regulations.
• Operate equipment and technology as required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain knowledge of hospital policies and regulations; dispense accordingly.
• Consult with physicians and nursing staff on reactions, errors, and complaints.
• Assist with inventory and ordering of pharmaceuticals.
• Monitor, record and communicate using computerized systems.
• Follow Standard Precautions using PPE as required.
• Perform tech duties plus buyer, narcotics, and IV room.
• Accurately perform pharmaceutical calculations on injectable medications.
• Prepare IV admixtures and IV batch medications.
• Maintain biosafety cabinets and laminar airflow workbenches.
• Complete sterile compounding logs and manage variances.
• Manage inventory and recalls/expired medications.
