Job summary

UMass Memorial Health is seeking an Inpatient Pharmacy Technician I to perform sterile and nonsterile compounding, deliver medications, and support automated dispensing systems. You will work under pharmacist supervision, completing MAR-related tasks and ensuring accurate documentation.

The role includes preparing IV meds, maintaining regulatory records, and assisting with inventory and equipment maintenance. 3 years of experience preferred; Massachusetts license required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Massachusetts Board of Pharmacy license required.
• PTCB or ExCPT certification preferred or required.

Responsibilities

• Prepares IV drugs using aseptic technique and compounding parenteral nutrition, antibiotics, chemotherapy, and other IV meds.
• Maintains documentation per regulatory and hospital requirements and reports.
• Performs major responsibilities of an Inpatient Pharmacy Technician I.
• Complies with state and federal standards for compounding medications.
• Supports training of new technicians in sterile compounding and other tasks.
