Job summary

Advocate Lutheran General Hospital in Park Ridge, IL seeks an experienced PM Supervisor of Pharmacy Technicians to lead evening operations in a fast-paced hospital setting. You will mentor technicians, optimize workflows, and ensure safe, timely medication distribution while collaborating with pharmacists and other disciplines.

You will supervise staffing, drive quality/compliance, and support department initiatives, inventory control, and problem solving—contributing to exceptional patient care

Qualifications

• High School graduate required.
• Typically 3 years of pharmacy technician experience with lead or senior responsibilities.
• Pharmacy Technician licensure/certification: CPhT or ExCPT within 2 years.

Responsibilities

• Supervises pharmacy technicians and coordinates daily priorities to ensure safe, timely, high-quality services.
• Maintains documentation and compliance with federal, state, and accrediting standards.
• Provides leadership, training and support for department initiatives.
• Supports budget targets via inventory management and workflow efficiency.
• Coordinates staffing to meet workload and solves daily issues.
• Leads quality assurance activities and ensures safe drug distribution and sterile products handling.
• Collaborates on workflow changes, process improvements, and technology implementation.
• Participates on hospital/system committees and partners with other departments.
• Develops and implements new services through evaluation and innovation.
• Performs HR duties including coaching, performance reviews, hiring decisions, and morale.
