Job summary

Boston Medical Center is seeking a Pharmacy Fulfillment Technician for the Mail Order Pharmacy. The role involves preparing and distributing medications, maintaining records, and overseeing packaging and shipping with supervision from pharmacists.

The position supports automated systems, adheres to URAC standards, and requires registration with the Massachusetts Board of Pharmacy along with national certification (PTCB or exCPT) within 6 months of start date.

Qualifications

• Requires a high school diploma (or State accepted equivalency).
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills are required.
• Ability to speak English, read, interpret and follow instructions with precision.

Responsibilities

• Maintains medication fulfillment competencies for central fill, traditional, and specialty prescriptions.
• Packages and ships medications, ensuring product integrity and accurate labeling.
• Performs prescription preparation under supervision and verifies work with a pharmacist.
• Communicates equipment malfunctions and unsafe conditions to supervisors.
• Maintains confidentiality and adheres to department policies and procedures.
