Job summary

Hackensack Meridian Health is seeking an Registered Nurse for per diem evening shifts in Perth Amboy, NJ. The role supports an interdisciplinary team with a focus on comprehensive nursing care and patient outcomes.

The RN will collect data, perform assessments, recognize changes in status, and collaborate on care plans. Completion of BSN in progress within 3 years and NJ RN license are required, with BLS certification within 60 days of hire.

Qualifications

BSN in progress and/or willing to acquire within three (3) years of hire.
Six (6) or more months of relevant nursing experience OR participation in Hackensack Meridian Health's Nurse Residency Program.
NJ State Professional Registered Nurse License.
AHA Basic Health Care Life Support HCP Certification within 60 days of entering position.

Responsibilities

Collect comprehensive data pertinent to the patient’s health or situation.
Perform age and disease specific assessment/data collection independently.
Recognize clinical and diagnostic status changes in patient status.
Identify variables in patient/family education needs based on age and disease.
Develop a plan of care that prescribes strategies and interventions.
Formulate age and disease specific patient/family centered goals/outcomes.
Communicate, coordinate, and implement the plan of care.
Provide ongoing communication with patient/family and healthcare team.
Implement age and disease specific care in an organized manner.
Perform continuous Point-of-Care electronic documentation of patient assessments.
