Job summary

Montefiore Medical Center Wakefield Campus in the Bronx is seeking a per diem Registered Nurse for the Psychiatry unit. You will provide bedside nursing care, assess patient needs, document care plans, and administer medications.

You will also supervise nursing attendants and ancillary staff as part of the patient care team. The role requires NY license, with 2 years of RN bedside experience and BLS training.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of RN bedside experience in a hospital setting.
• New York State RN License required.
• BSN Degree preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) training required.
• Infection control training recommended.
• Effective English communication skills.
• Ability to use basic data entry and retrieval systems.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional nursing care to assigned patients.
• Assess patients' needs and develop/ document nursing care plans.
• Prepare and administer medications and interventions as necessary.
• Supervise nursing attendants and ancillary staff in patient care activities.
