Job summary

St. Luke's University Health Network is seeking a Cook - Per Diem, Evenings at the Easton, PA campus to prepare, serve, and forecast menu items according to recipes and production methods.

This role supports patient and cafeteria service during evening shifts. The position requires a High School diploma, previous cooking experience in a hospital or restaurant environment, and the ability to work a mix of hours including evenings and weekends; hours include 10:00am - 6:30pm and 11:30am - 8:00pm

Qualifications

• High School graduate or equivalent preferred.
• Must be able to communicate effectively in English.
• Previous cooking experience, preferably in a hospital or restaurant environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepares all foods, ensuring that they are ready for service as scheduled.
• Ensures foods are served at the proper temperature and presented well.
• Reviews menus and communicates changes to staff; forecasts amounts and portions.
• Assists with sanitation and maintenance of the work area.
