Valley Health is seeking a Registered Peer Recovery Specialist to provide peer-to-peer support within the Outpatient Behavioral Health Programs. The role uses lived experience to support wellness and recovery in a non-clinical, person-centered approach.

Weekday daytime and evening coverage included; duties include group activities, community linkage, and collaboration with the treatment team to advance recovery goals.

Qualifications

• Ability to positively interact with persons with mental illness, substance use disorders and developmental disabilities.
• Active listening, education and assistive supports to consumers and family members.
• Good time management, organization, dependability and independence.

Responsabilités

• Provide peer-to-peer support in outpatient behavioral health programs.
• Assist in development, implementation, and maintenance of mental health services.
• Document all service contacts within 24 hours of contact.
• Participate in treatment team meetings and supervision.
