Job summary

Red Balloon Urgent Care is seeking a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner to join our evening team in a 0.6 FTE role serving pediatric patients after school hours. You will evaluate, diagnose, and manage urgent care needs in collaboration with physicians and nurses.

Ideal candidates hold a Minnesota NP license (CPNP-PC or CPNP-AC), demonstrate strong exam and communication skills, and can maintain accurate records while delivering compassionate care in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• Master's or Doctoral degree in Nursing from an accredited program.
• Current unrestricted license to practice as a Nurse Practitioner in Minnesota.
• CPNP-PC or CPNP-AC certification.
• Proficiency in conducting thorough physical examinations, interpreting diagnostic tests, and formulating differential diagnoses.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to establish rapport with patients and families.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive pediatric assessments.
• Diagnose and treat acute illnesses and injuries.
• Develop and implement treatment plans, including prescribing meds and coordinating follow-up.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other professionals for coordinated care.
• Provide patient education and counseling on health maintenance and disease prevention.
• Maintain accurate medical records in compliance with regulations and policies.
