Job summary

Mass General Brigham's Newton-Wellesley Hospital seeks a Patient Care Assistant to support licensed staff and care for patients in the evenings. You will assist with daily activities, take vital signs, document in the EHR, and help with admissions and discharges while promoting a safe, compassionate environment.

The role requires strong customer service, basic medical terminology literacy, and the ability to lift up to 35 pounds.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• 0-1 year experience in patient care preferred.
• Knowledge of medical terminology.
• Strong patient/customer service skills.
• Ability to lift up to 35 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with activities of daily living and basic care tasks.
• Take vitals and document in the Electronic Health Record (EHR).
• Assist with admissions/discharges and support nursing staff.
• Keep patient rooms stocked and equipment clean and ready.
