Job summary

Intermountain Healthcare Inc. in Lafayette, CO is seeking a patient transport technician to move patients safely and compassionately within Good Samaritan Hospital. You will follow transport pathways, communicate with nurses and staff, and use Safe Patient Handling equipment to protect patients and colleagues.

This full-time evening role requires 18+ years, a current BLS, and a commitment to patient confidentiality. A comprehensive benefits package accompanies the position.

Qualifications

• Current BLS certification endorsed by the American Heart Association or the ability to obtain within sixty (60) days of hire.
• Must be at least 18 years of age if working in Radiology areas.

Responsibilities

• Transports patients in a safe and efficient manner.
• Notifies patient nurse or test site staff of any problems with patient condition or safety.
• Utilizes written Patient Handoff Form and ensures completion prior to transport.
• Cleans transport equipment before and after every patient and returns to storage.
• Assists with patient admits & discharges and restocking.
