Job summary

Virtua Health in Marlton, New Jersey, is seeking a part-time Transporter to assist in moving patients between departments, ensuring safety and comfort during transfers. The role requires a high school diploma and strong customer-service skills, with CPR preferred.

This on-site, per-diem position supports multiple hospital locations and weekend/holiday coverage as needed. The transporter will be responsible for patient movement, wheelchairs and stretchers maintenance, and coordinating with

Customer service experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Transport patients to and from departments/units. Includes appropriate patient identification, patient comfort and safety (assisting in lifting, moving and positioning in bed/wheelchair, etc), and providing patient information.
Care for and clean wheelchairs/stretchers and initiate appropriate action when repair is required (check supply of oxygen, replenish and change regulators as necessary).
Coordinates with other transporters based on patient schedules to ensure smooth flow of transport operations; communicates patient information to nurses and testing departments as necessary.
