Job summary

McLaren Health Care in Michigan is seeking a patient transport teammate to support care teams, transport patients, maintain equipment, and participate in code response activities. This full-time role requires readiness to operate within a dynamic hospital environment.

The position involves transporting patients, replenishing supplies, and ensuring equipment is clean and ready for use across units. A high school diploma or equivalent is required and schedule is 7am-7:30pm, on-site.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.

Responsibilities

• Transport patients between clinical departments with proper notification to requesting and receiving departments while ensuring patient care during transport.
• Active member of the code response team (Code Blue, Code Trauma Activation, Code Massive Transfusion, Code Stroke) assisting with patient transport and retrieval of life-saving equipment and supplies.
• Clean equipment for all discharges or discontinued therapies.
• Maintain nurse server inventory, review inventory usage with inventory planner, and stock linen in rooms to meet patient needs.
• Complete daily checks and restocking of supplies for code blue stretcher and code carts.
• Deliver and track telemetry devices for medical/surgical units.
• Perform other duties as directed.
