Job summary

Franciscan Health Indianapolis Campus seeks a part-time Transporter to support patient movement within the hospital campus. You will assist with preparing for transport, identify patients correctly, and move them to imaging, surgery, wards, and discharge areas as needed.

You will also return transport devices after use. The role requires interaction with doctors, nurses and other staff, and may involve lifting or assisting patients as part of daily duties.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• 1 year healthcare experience preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from American Heart Association preferred or required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare for transport.
• Ensure proper patient identification during moments of care.
• Transport patients to the required location.
• Return transport devices.
