Job summary

TouchPoint Support Services at Ascension St Vincent Indianapolis seeks a Patient Transporter to safely move patients, equipment and supplies within the hospital setting. The role encompasses coordinating with nursing and clinical staff to ensure timely patient flow and adherence to safety protocols.

The position is available on a full-time and part-time basis with rotating weekends and holidays. Prior related experience is preferred, and online applications are accepted only.

Qualifications

• Previous related experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Properly and safely transports patients, secures IVs, drainage tubes, etc., and secures patient.
• Uses wheelchairs and other rolling stock to carry out essential duties.
• Demonstrates competency in transporting all age groups.
• Ensures safe, timely transport of patients to destinations with proper equipment.
• Communicates effectively with nursing staff, clinicians, technicians or reception and dispatch.
• Maintains patient comfort and privacy during transport.
