Job summary

Baptist Health Louisville is seeking a Patient Transporter to support movement of patients to diagnostics, between rooms, and during discharge. You will work closely with nursing to ensure safe, courteous service.

Shifts include day, mid, and night with every third weekend required for full-time roles, and PRN options available. This entry‑level position offers exposure to clinical areas and growth within Baptist Health.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous hospital/transport experience desirable.
• Must complete BCLS within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Performs transportation of patients to and from diagnostic testing.
• Assists in room-to-room transfers and discharge/admission transport as directed by nursing.
• Serves patients, visitors, physician offices and hospital departments with courteous service.

Using EPIC transport tracking and the latest in patient movement technology, you will be able to utilize your own abilities to assist in patient care. The Transport Team provides service to the hospital 24 hours a day 7 days a week. We offer a variety of shifts to fit your school, social or pre-professional schedule. Day Shift positions start between 6:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m., Mid Shift positions start at 3:00 p.m., and Night Shift positions start at 8:30 p.m.

Full-time and part-time positions are available with an every third weekend requirement.

PRN positions are available with an every other weekend requirement.

Responsibilities

Performs activities related to transportation of patients to and from diagnostic testing, room to room transfers, discharge, and admission as directed by nursing and ancillary departments. Serves the customer base in the facility such as: patients, visitors, physician offices, ancillary departments and nursing units.
