Job summary

Nationwide Children's Hospital in Columbus, OH seeks a Patient Transporter to provide safe, timely transport of patients and equipment, enabling clinicians to perform their duties. The role requires a High School diploma and BLS certification; strong communication and teamwork are essential.

Schedule: 2:00pm-10:00pm with two weekday shifts and every other weekend (24 hours per week). Elevated attention to safety and infection control is required to support patient care.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Active BLS Certification via AHA or obtain within 90 days of hire.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Transports patients to and from designated areas using proper equipment.
• Assists patients in and out of vehicles and ensures their safety during transport.
• Maintains cleanliness and orderliness of the transport vehicles.
• Monitors and reports any changes in patient condition during transport.
• Follows established safety protocols and infection control procedures.
• Communicates effectively with healthcare team members and patients.
