Job summary

Nationwide Children’s Hospital is seeking a Patient Transporter to safely move patients and equipment between units. You will follow safety protocols, assist patients in and out of vehicles, and communicate with clinical teams.

Requires High School diploma and BLS certification within 90 days. Schedule is 2:00pm–10:00pm, with two weekday shifts and every other weekend; 24 hours per week.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Active BLS Certification via AHA or obtain within 90 days of hire.
• Ability to assist patients and operate equipment safely; strong communication.

Responsibilities

• Transports patients to and from designated areas using proper equipment.
• Assists patients in and out of vehicles and ensures their safety during transport.
• Maintains cleanliness and orderliness of the transport vehicles.
• Monitors and reports any changes in patient condition during transport.
• Follows established safety protocols and infection control procedures.
• Communicates effectively with healthcare team members and patients.
