Qualifications

• Ability to communicate verbally and in writing in the English language.
• Ability to move or lift patients and equipment.
• Position requires standing for most of the shift.
• Provides high level of customer service to patients and staff.

Responsibilities

• Safely transports patients between departments using stretchers, wheelchairs, and beds.
• Picks up patients and transports to designated areas within 18–20 minutes.
• Transports lab specimens and equipment following infection control guidelines.
• Assists with patient transfers using slide boards and gait belts.
• Discharges patients following proper procedures and escorts to exit or arrival area.
• Answers phones and dispatches services when needed, logs calls for nursing department.
