Job summary

MedStar Montgomery Medical Center in Olney, MD is seeking a part-time Patient Registration Associate to monitor work flow, collect demographic and insurance data, and assist patients for a smooth registration process.

The role requires 3-4 years in a fast-paced customer service environment, with an 8:00am-4:30pm mandatory on-site Invision Class on Tuesdays and Wednesdays at hire. Evening shifts Tue/Wed 3:00pm-11:30pm.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED or equivalent required.
• 3-4 years experience in fast-paced customer service, preferably medical setting.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
• Moderate computer skills and HIPAA confidentiality knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Registration: Performs all duties related to patient registration and collects demographic and insurance information.
• Customer Service: Assists patients and family members, answers calls and explains requirements.
• Development: Maintains knowledge and attends required department training.
• Organizational knowledge: Works with other departments and teams to support operations.
