Job summary

Stanford Health Care is seeking a Customer Navigator for evenings at Stanford Hospital and Clinics in Palo Alto. You will be on-site and over the phone, delivering exceptional patient and family service and guiding visitors through the campus.

You will schedule appointments, assist with access to services, greet patients, and coordinate with volunteers. Strong communication and empathy are essential; EPIC knowledge is a plus though not required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• 1+ years’ experience in healthcare setting or navigation certification.
• 2+ years’ experience in customer service in non-healthcare industries.
• Basic PC skills (Windows, Excel, Word).
• Good communication, customer service, and cross-cultural competency.
• Working knowledge of EPIC or other patient databases.

Responsibilities

• Schedule and manage appointments and access to services.
• Greet patients, families, and visitors and provide navigation assistance.
• Serve as primary contact for patients throughout the service experience.
• Respond to inquiries and coordinate with hospital staff and volunteers.
• Assist with transportation information and escort guests as needed.
• Adhere to patient safety, confidentiality, and quality standards.
