Edward Elmhurst Health seeks a Patient Care Technician for Evanston Hospital evenings. The role supports RNs, delivers routine patient care, and assists with diagnostics, procedures, and discharge prep. The position is part time with a 24-hour week, Monday to Friday 3:00 pm–11:30 pm with rotating weekends, located in Evanston, IL.

Candidates should have CNA training or nursing rotation experience, and BLS certification. Prior customer service is a plus.

Qualifications

• Eligible to work in the U.S.; CNA training preferred or nursing clinical rotation in medical/surgical.
• Current BLS certification required.
• 1 year of customer service experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Work under the supervision of a RN to deliver patient care.
• Assist with Vital Signs, 12-Lead EKG, bladder ultrasound, Foley catheter and IV adapter removal.
• Assist with specimen collection, bathing, bed mobility, ambulating, turning, hourly rounding, glucose and feeding.
• Admit patients to the room and prepare patients for discharge.
• Assist with implementation of patient-specific care plans.
• Participate in unit activities to ensure safety and high-quality care.
