Job summary

UnityPoint Health Finley Hospital in Dubuque, IA is hiring a Patient Care Technician to join the care team in the General Rehab department. This part-time evening role supports nurses, takes vital signs, and assists with daily activities, delivering compassionate, hands-on patient care during the 2:30 pm–11:00 pm shift.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED or currently and actively working towards completion of Diploma/GED.
• Prefer candidates that have successfully completed the CNA program and are active on the Iowa Direct Care Registry.
• Must possess and maintain current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or within 3 months from date of hire.

Responsibilities

• Be the friendly face patients see throughout their stay.
• Take vital signs, assist with daily activities, and support nurses with clinical care.
• Respond quickly to patient needs and help create a safe, healing environment.
• Gain valuable hospital experience that can grow into a long-term healthcare career.
