Job summary

MercyOne Genesis Davenport Medical Center is seeking a Patient Care Tech to support safe, quality patient care on the Medical/Pulmonary Unit, under the guidance of a Registered Nurse.

This part-time evening shift (.2 FTE), 3pm–11:30pm with rotating weekends and holidays, offers opportunities for growth within MercyOne Health System. High school diploma or GED is required; Basic Life Support training is required or available; CNA certification or healthcare student status is encouraged.

Qualifications

• No experience required
• Basic Life Support training
• CNA certification or healthcare student experience preferred
• Medical terminology knowledge preferred

Responsibilities

• Assist nursing staff and physicians in patient care activities.
• Provide safe, quality patient care as delegated by the RN.
• Support department housekeeping and supply/equipment/facility maintenance.
• Contribute to customer service and teamwork within the unit.
