Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is desired but not necessary.
• Prior custodial work preferred.

Responsibilities

• Empties full soiled linen bags; replaces with clean bags; handles linen chute.
• Makes unoccupied beds.
• Stocks clean patient linen in rooms.
• Stocks floor with bathroom supplies and cups to established par levels, and maintains cleaning chemicals and equipment.
• Cleans and disinfects occupied patient rooms and offices per procedures.
• Cleans and disinfects hospital equipment as assigned.
• Performs discharge cleaning and bed making per hospital procedures.
• Operates cleaning equipment (mops, vacuums).
• Empties trash and medical waste; follows disposal procedures.
• Follows safety rules; uses PPE and Universal Precautions.
• Transports equipment and furniture; sets up for meetings.
• Attends mandatory in-service education and required trainings.
