Job summary

Mount Sinai Health System is seeking a Patient Care Associate at MSH KCC 5N Med/Tele PT 0.8 (4 shifts/wk) Evenings to support the nursing team. The role includes assisting patients with daily living activities, collecting specimens, performing procedures such as venipuncture and EKG, and maintaining a safe, clean environment.

It requires high school diploma and a medical assistant/patient care program certification.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Certificate of completion of a medical assistant/patient care assistant program with skills in venipuncture and EKG.
• BLS/Heartsaver Certification or equivalent to support patient safety.

Responsibilities

• Assist RN with patient care activities and daily living tasks.
• Collect specimens and perform procedures as directed.
• Maintain safe, clean hospital environment and equipment.
• Document vital signs, intake/output, and other data.
• Assist with dietary functions and patient meal service.
• Support discharge processes and medical record coordination.
• Observe patients for safety and report concerns to RN.
