Training includes orientation with BCLS and de-escalation requirements. Qualifications include a High School Diploma or equivalent, CNA program preference, and related experience.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Nurse Assistant/Aide program is preferred.
• Current Certified Nursing Assistant certification is preferred.
• BCLS certification upon hire or transfer is required.
• De-escalation training must be completed by the end of orientation (90 days).
• Equivalent related work experience or completion of a Nurse Aide program is required.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic nursing care per predefined plan of care established by RN or LPN.
• Perform duties under the direct supervision of RN or LPN in accordance with hospital policies.
• Follow CDC infection control guidelines and hospital care plans.
