Job summary

Singing River Gulfport Hospital is seeking a Patient Care Associate to provide basic nursing care under RN/LPN supervision, following CDC infection control guidelines and hospital policies. The role supports patients and the care team during 7:00 pm to 7:00 am shifts.

Requirements include a High School Diploma, Nurse Assistant/Aide program preferred, CNA certification upon hire for SNF unit, BCLS, de-escalation training by 90 days, and prior related experience or completion of a Nurse Aide

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Nurse Assistant/Aide program preferred.
• CNA Certification required upon hire for SNF unit.
• Must complete and maintain BCLS certification upon hire and/or transfer.
• De-escalation training by end of orientation (90 days).
• Equivalent related work experience or completion of a Nurse Aide program.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic nursing care under RN/LPN supervision.
• Follow predefined care plans and CDC infection control guidelines.
• Perform duties per hospital procedures and policies.
• Maintain professional communication with the care team and patients.
• Assist with activities of daily living and patient safety.
