Job summary

Elliot Hospital is seeking an Admissions Registrar for the 2nd shift in the United States. This part-time role focuses on registering patients at urgent cares and the emergency department, verifying demographics and insurances, and ensuring accurate data capture for admission processes.

The ideal candidate has basic office experience, strong customer service, and repetitive task tolerance, with the ability to work under standard procedures and respond to interruptions.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Typing and computer skills coursework; medical terminology preferred.
• Experience in customer service relations and office settings preferred.

Responsibilities

• Register patients at urgent cares and ER, verify demographics and insurances.
• Provide patients with information required by federal mandates.
• Receive and provide shift reports at start/end of shifts.
• Obtain consents, assignment of benefits, and releases.
• Handle information on religious preference and affiliation.
• Initiate pre-certification and pre-authorization for services.
• Interact with physicians and staff and work as a team member.
