MultiCare Health System seeks a Patient Access Technician (PAT) at our Off-Campus Emergency Departments in Washington. You’ll welcome patients and manage admissions and registrations in line with policy and regulatory requirements to create a smooth, respectful experience.

This 0.6 FTE evening position offers 12-hour shifts and close collaboration with financial and clinical teams. You’ll pre-admit patients, collect demographic and insurance information, verify eligibility, and coordinate with

Competenze

Graduate of health vocational program such as patient access, medical assistance, medical billing and insurance or medical general.
One year of admitting, billing, registration or customer service experience may be considered in lieu of education.

Mansioni

Assure complete and accurate patient admissions/registrations according to policy and regulatory requirements.
Obtain inpatient bed assignments and process admissions, including arm banding and forms.
Pre-admit all scheduled inpatients/outpatients to facilitate smooth admissions/registrations.
Obtain direct admit information and enter reservation in computer system to notify other areas.
Complete demographic/insurance/third party information via bedside or telephone interviews.
Perform eligibility verification and resolve discrepancies; determine need for financial assistance and refer to Financial Counselor.
