Job summary

Baptist Health in Jacksonville Downtown is seeking an experienced Patient Access Representative II for a 4:00pm - 2:00am shift, Wednesday to Saturday. This full-time role involves registering patients, managing central scheduling, and supporting patient access across multiple touchpoints.

You will apply EMTALA, AHCA, JCAHO, and HIPAA guidelines, perform accurate data entry in EPIC and OnBase, and deliver outstanding customer service while protecting patient privacy.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Certified Medical Assistant preferred.
• Experience in patient access or call center is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Managing a large amount of inbound and outbound calls in a timely manner
• Managing Central Scheduling Voicemail
• Scheduling patient appointments with BHS cardiologists
• Following call scripts for handling different scenarios
• Identifying customer needs and providing solutions
• Managing Scheduling OnBase queue and index documenting in EPIC
• Data Entry Tasks
• Routing calls as appropriate
• Providing Excellent Customer Service
