Job summary

Foothill Regional Medical Center in Tustin, CA seeks a Lead Admitting Representative for the 2:00 PM - 10:00 PM shift. You will coordinate patient access staff to ensure accurate information collection and orderly admission for inpatients and outpatients at 14662 Newport Ave.

Responsibilities include resolving issues, enforcing policies, and serving as a role model for the admitting team in a hospital of 177 beds. Equal opportunity employer; onsite work required.

Qualifications

Two years of Hospital Admitting office experience as a Lead
High School Diploma or Equivalent G.E.D.
Basic Understanding of Medical Terminology
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
Strong time management skills
Ability to multitask and maintain a work pace appropriate to workload
Computer literacy and proficiency
Must demonstrate customer service skills appropriate to the job

Responsibilities

Coordinate and oversee patient access staff and functions.
Ensure accurate patient information is collected and that patients are aware of hospital policy and procedures.
Arrange efficient admission of all inpatients and outpatients.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues as they arise.
Functions as a role model and resource to staff.
