Intuitive Health is seeking a part-time Patient Access Advocate to join our front desk team in a fast-paced ambulatory care setting. You will greet patients, perform registration, verify insurance, and collect copayments while ensuring accurate data in the electronic health record.

The role requires excellent communication, multitasking, and a patient-centered approach. You will assist with visit closures, provide directions, maintain a welcoming lobby, and adhere to HIPAA and all company

Formación

• Minimum typing speed of 50 wpm.
• Flexibility and effective communication skills.
• 1 year of customer service experience or 6 months in a healthcare setting.
• Basic understanding of insurance preferred.
• Basic understanding of medical terminology and billing codes preferred (DRG, ICD-10, CPT, HCPCS).
• Ability to read and write simple correspondence and follow instructions.
• Proficiency with general office equipment and HIPAA compliance.
• Ability to work independently and multi-task in a fast-paced environment.

Responsabilidades

• Greet patients with a friendly, courteous, and professional demeanor in person and by phone.
• Register patients, update demographics, verify insurance, collect copays, and document in electronic systems.
• Confirm accurate registration information for clean billing and perform visit closure activities including payment collection.
• Assist patients and families with forward-facing information and provide wayfinding in the facility.
• Check patients in and out; ensure front desk and waiting area are clean and presentable.
• Handle clerical duties: copying, scanning, faxing, and maintaining patient files.
• Answer/ screen calls and direct messages; provide required information (address, directions, fax, website).
• Follow HIPAA and company policies; maintain a professional, respectful work environment.
