Job summary

UF Health Pathology Laboratories is seeking a Clinical Service Representative I to support the receipt, triage, accessioning, registration and reporting of pathology specimens, slides, and blocks. The role involves maintaining consultation materials and ensuring compliance with lab procedures.

This is an evening shift position, with duties including LIS data entry and patient/insurance data collection. Minimum requirements include a high school diploma.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Six month lab accessioning experience preferred.
• Knowledge of Medical terminology.
• Communication skills enabling professional interaction with UF physicians, clients, and health professionals.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate receipt, triage, accessioning, and reporting of specimens, slides, and blocks.
• Enter patient demographics and insurance data; verify details via LIS.
• Prepare specimens for testing and route to appropriate departments.
• Track slides and distribute to pathologists; maintain records.
• Ensure compliance with laboratory procedures and regulatory requirements.
