Job summary

Pima Medical Institute in Aurora, CO, seeks a Medical Assistant Instructor to join our faculty part-time. You will mentor aspiring healthcare professionals, share clinical expertise, and guide students in patient care, procedures, and administrative tasks.

This role requires an accredited Medical Assisting program completion, at least three years of full-time MA experience, and proficiency with MS Office and video conferencing.

Qualifications

• Education: Graduation from an accredited Medical Assisting program recognized by the USDE or CHEA.
• Clinical Experience: Minimum of three (3) years of full-time practical work experience as a Medical Assistant.
• Technical Proficiency: MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and basic computer applications.
• Preferred Qualifications: CMA or RMA certification; prior teaching or training experience.

Responsibilities

• Instructional Delivery & Student Support: Deliver interactive lesson plans covering clinical procedures, labs, and administrative topics.
• Office Hours & Mentorship: Hold regular in-person office hours to support and mentor students.
• Coursework Evaluation: Grade assignments, labs and exams with timely feedback.
• Externship Supervision: Supervise students during clinical externships.
• Academic Administration & Compliance: Maintain accurate student records and compliance with policies.
• Advising & Escalation: Address academic or behavior concerns with appropriate staff.
• Enrichment Activities: Organize guest speakers and field trips to broaden learning.
• Safety & Security: Enforce OSHA/HIPAA standards and campus safety protocols.
