Job summary

Pima Medical Institute – Aurora Campus is seeking a knowledgeable substitute instructor to teach foundational healthcare courses on-site. The role offers a flexible part-time schedule and requires a background in anatomy, physiology, or allied health, with PMI providing training and curriculum.

Qualifications

• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Graduation from an accredited program in a relevant field or 3+ years of related experience.
• Demonstrated knowledge of core subjects, especially Anatomy & Physiology.

Responsibilities

• Instruct students in foundation courses including anatomy, physiology, medical terminology, mathematics, computer basics, and study skills.
• Design and deliver lesson plans using a variety of teaching techniques.
• Evaluate and grade student coursework within 72 hours.
• Maintain scheduled office hours to advise and assist students.
• Coordinate guest speakers and visits to clinics and medical offices.
• Participate in faculty meetings and professional development.
