Job summary

Pima Medical Institute - Aurora Campus is seeking a knowledgeable substitute instructor to teach foundational healthcare courses on-site. This part-time role offers a flexible schedule and the opportunity to contribute to student success by delivering engaging lessons.

Candidates with anatomy/physiology coursework or related healthcare experience, strong communication skills, and proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google Workspace are encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of related healthcare work experience.
• Graduation from an accredited program in a relevant field.
• Knowledge of Anatomy & Physiology through coursework or work experience.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace.
• Experience teaching or substituting in educational settings preferred.

Responsibilities

• Instruct foundation courses including anatomy, physiology, medical terminology, mathematics, computer basics, and study skills.
• Design and deliver lesson plans using varied teaching techniques.
• Evaluate and grade student coursework within 72 hours.
• Maintain scheduled office hours to advise and assist students.
• Coordinate guest speakers and field trips; participate in faculty meetings.
• Complete documentation for student files and attendance.
• Enforce safety and security standards for students and staff.
