Job summary

The Morganton News Herald/Marion McDowell is seeking a Part‑Time Distribution Warehouse Worker (30‑35 hrs/week) to assist in the distribution of newspapers to customers and independent contract haulers.

Responsibilities include ensuring each hauler receives the correct single‑copy allotment, delivering down‑routes, collecting single‑copy racks, meeting delivery truck schedules, ensuring timely delivery to post offices and single‑copy locations, providing general assistance in the operation of

Qualifications

• Shift times include 4:00 pm–10:00 pm or 11:00 am–5:00 pm depending on day.
• Ability to unload and stack bundles of newspapers (~30 lbs).
• Able to move around the warehouse indoors and outdoors.
• Willingness to work weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Distribute newspapers to customers and haulers as assigned.
• Deliver down-routes and collect single-copy racks.
• Meet delivery truck schedules and ensure timely delivery to post offices and locations.
• Maintain an orderly flow on the dock and assist in distribution center operations.
