Job summary

USA TODAY Co., Inc. is hiring a Part-Time Assistant District Manager for our newspaper distribution centers serving the Hanover/York region. The role involves supporting home delivery and distribution operations during the late-night hours.

You will unload/load trucks, generate reports, use center software, and respond to subscriber issues. Requirements include a valid driver's license, good organizational and communication skills, and the ability to lift heavy loads.

Qualifications

• GED/High School Diploma; previous newspaper or distribution/warehouse experience preferred.
• Valid driver's license with acceptable motor vehicle record.
• Strong organizational and written/spoken communication skills.
• Good computer skills including Microsoft Office.
• Ability to push/pull carts up to 500 lbs with assistance; lift up to 25 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Distribution and handling of daily and non-daily products to carriers, haulers, retailers, and consumers. Unload and load trucks containing various print publications
• Open the Distribution Center and prepare for the independent contractor arrival by printing, preparing and distributing specified reports and paperwork.
• Utilize industry specific software to handle required reporting for center. General housekeeping of distribution center
• Complete required documentation and reports for center as needed. Assist with delivering newspapers, respond to and resolve subscriber service issues
• Assist with training Product Handlers as needed.
