Job summary

Responsibilities

• Bathing and helping dress residents
• Serving meals and helping residents eat
• Turning or repositioning residents who are unable to change their own position
• Following resident’s care plans
• Providing and emptying bedpans
• Lifting residents into beds, wheelchairs, etc.
• Answering call bells
• Noting changes in condition and reporting them
• Cleaning and sanitizing resident rooms and care areas
• Changing bed sheets and restocking rooms
• Occasionally providing transportation to appointments
• Work within the primary care nursing model with a fixed caregiver for each resident
• Shift differential for evening and night shift
