Job summary

UP Health System - Marquette is seeking a PAR RN to join the Procedural Admission/Prep and Recovery team. This full-time role supports the Cath Lab and Interventional Radiology patients with pre/post-procedure care, education, and assessments.

You will work 8 x 8-hour evening shifts (1:00pm–9:30pm) with on-call weekend rotation every 6–8 weeks, contributing to patient outcomes and team collaboration in a supportive environment.

Qualifications

• Current Michigan RN license.
• Associate's degree from an accredited nursing school (Bachelor's preferred).
• Basic Life Support Health Care Provider (BLS-HCP).
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) within 1 year.

Responsibilities

• Performs plan-of-care interventions, including medication administration, specimen collection, clinical treatments, and related medical care.
• Documents care provided in a timely, accurate manner.
• Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition to the care team, physicians, patients, and families.
• Assists with activities of daily living (hygiene, elimination, nutrition, ambulation).
• Displays initiative and flexibility to float throughout the building to support departments and staff.
• Collaborates across disciplines to coordinate care (transfers, discharges, referrals, psychosocial/spiritual support).
• Assesses learning needs; provides age- and culture-appropriate patient/family education.
• Advocates for the physical and emotional well-being of patients.
• Participates in performance improvement and required education; works other shifts/units as needed and may take on-call assignments.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
