Job summary

Forney ISD is seeking a skilled painter to maintain and improve district facilities. The role requires applying paints, matching colors, and preparing surfaces while following safety and district procedures.

You will transport supplies, track materials, and coordinate with principals and supervisors on project timelines. Candidates should have at least two years of painting experience and a valid Texas driver’s license or CDL eligibility.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of equipment, materials, methods, and tools used in painting.
• Ability to apply paints properly and mix colors to match specified shades.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and work independently.

Responsibilities

• Maintenance and repair; prepare surfaces by sanding and removing old paint.
• Fill holes; tape, float and texture walls/ceilings; select/mix paints.
• Paint with brushes, spray gun, or rollers; apply finishes and stains.
• Move supplies, deliver to campuses, and maintain delivery records.
• Inspect work, ensure cleanliness, and report needs for repairs.
