Job summary

Quanex in Rice Lake, WI is seeking a 2nd Shift Packaging/Kit Assembler to join our manufacturing team. You will set up and operate packaging equipment, perform labeling and kitting tasks, and ensure accurate carton assembly in a fast-paced environment.

We offer a Monday–Friday schedule, overtime when needed, a competitive hourly wage with shift differential, and benefits including 401(k), ESPP, paid time off, and tuition support. No prior experience required, but reliability and teamwork matter.

Qualifications

• Hands-on production/assembly experience preferred but not required.
• Strong attendance and reliability.
• Willingness to learn and team-oriented mindset.
• Ability to follow processes and safety expectations.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate production equipment, including the stretch wrapper.
• Complete packaging and kitting tasks, including staging and labeling screens and assembling cardboard boxes and flats.
• Perform quality checks and maintain accuracy throughout the production process.
• Work productively with minimal supervision, adapt to changing priorities, and assist other areas when needed.
• Follow all safety procedures and promptly report hazards.
• Maintain dependable attendance and shift coverage; perform other duties as needed.
