Job summary

RR Donnelley & Sons is seeking a 2nd shift Warehouse Associate focused on assembling kits and packing printed materials for shipping. You will prepare boxes, stock the area, and follow detailed packing procedures to meet customer specifications.

This role requires basic arithmetic, ability to read job specs, and readiness to lift up to 60 pounds, stand for long periods, and flex schedule to meet production needs. Prior warehouse or kitting experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Prior warehouse or kitting experience preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret job specifications and identify correct parts.
• Basic communication skills (written and/or verbal).
• Basic knowledge of routine packing procedures, techniques, equipment and general warehouse procedures.
• Able to stock, move, arrange, and rotate items according to operating instructions.
• Able to complete forms relating to stock description and labeling requirements.
• Skill in assembling standard shipping boxes and packing contents securely.
• Basic arithmetic to add, subtract, multiply and divide.
• Must be willing to flex schedule to meet production needs, including overtime or different shift.
• Must be able to use a ladder to access boxes.

Responsibilities

• Prepare boxes, stock the assembly area, gather materials and organize the work area.
• Follow detailed procedures to perform routine packing work and collate materials as necessary.
• Pick and package a variety of printed materials or related items per packing procedures.
• Assemble finished products into boxes or containers for shipping according to customer specs.
• Count and sort inventory as required.
• May prepare shipments of customer samples.
• Train others in new processes and lean methodologies.
• Other duties as assigned.
