Job summary

Rochelle Community Hospital is seeking a Laboratorian/MLS to perform accurate lab tests using manual and automated methods, while maintaining regulatory compliance. You will conduct phlebotomy procedures and provide compassionate service to patients and caregivers in a high-pressure setting.

Evening and midnight coverage are required as needed; a BS in MLS and MLS certification (ASCP/AMT/ASCPI) are essential, with certification within 12 months of hire.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Medical Laboratory Science required.
• MLS certification from a nationally recognized agency required or must be obtained within 12 months of hire.
• Evening and midnight coverage required as needed.
• Must pass Certification exam within 1 year of hire.

Responsibilities

• Perform accurate laboratory testing using manual and automated methods.
• Maintain compliance with all regulatory agencies and quality standards.
• Conduct phlebotomy (arterial, capillary, venipuncture) as part of patient care.
• Provide courteous customer service to patients, families, visitors, and physicians.
