Qualifications

• Must read, write, and communicate effectively in English with customers and coworkers.
• Ability to perform simple mathematical calculations.
• Must pass a non-DOT physical examination.
• Consent to a pre-employment drug screen and receive a negative result.
• Ten-year work history check; explain gaps of 30 days or more.

Responsibilities

• Read shipping labels and follow loading instructions accurately.
• Load and unload freight by hand or using hand truck/dolly.
• Sort and secure items on trucks or on dock per DOT requirements to prevent damage.
• Handle various materials and use common material handling tools (carts, dollies, pallet jacks, tow motors).
• Maintain safe, professional conduct and comply with federal, state, and company regulations.
• Process paperwork daily related to job duties.
