Job summary

Pitt Ohio is seeking a Part-Time Dockworker for outbound operations at our Grove City, OH location. The role involves loading and unloading freight, manual material handling, and ensuring DOT-compliant procedures are followed.

Evening shifts run Monday through Friday starting at 5 PM, with opportunities for growth in a family-owned company renowned for safety and teamwork. Candidates must read/write English, perform basic math, and pass a pre-employment drug screen and a non-DOT physical

Qualifications

• Must be able to read and write English, perform basic math and communicate effectively with customers and coworkers.
• Must pass a pre-employment drug screen.
• Must pass a non-DOT physical examination.
• Ten-year work history check with disclosures if gaps exist.

Responsibilities

• Read, write and communicate effectively with internal and external customers.
• Load and unload freight according to DOT requirements.
• Sort and secure items on trucks to prevent damage.
• Lift various materials including cartons, boxes, drums, and pipes.
• Operate hand trucks, dollies, pallet jacks, and tow motors as needed.
• Maintain safety and comply with regulations.
• Complete daily paperwork and be available to work as scheduled.
• Perform additional duties as required.
